Hurghada Grand Aquarium

The Hurghada Grand Aquarium was opened in January 2015 and has a water reservoir of around 1 million gallons.

The Aquarium, one of the most visited places in Hurghada, hosts 1,200 water animals belonging to nearly 100 species.

Hurghada Aquarium is the only aquarium in Hurghada that has been dedicated to the region for a larger view, as it includes a small zoo.

The Hurghada Aquarium includes 24 exhibits, including the Shark Tunnel, the Rainforest, and the Whale Valley, which is based on Western Desert excavations.

The Hurghada Aquatic Museum includes nurse sharks, which may be up to 5 meters in length, fish and green turtles.

Although the Akarium currently tops the list of tourism sites in Egypt in terms of fame, but the development plans are still continuing to become an integrated animal sanctuary.

The activities you can do :

• You can walk with your family on foot in the Hurghada Aquarium to learn about its features and contents of wild and marine animals.

• Then start your visit from the fossil exhibition called the Whale Valley, which is based in most of its exhibits on Western desert fossils.

• You can enter the tunnel, which is 24 meters in length, divided into tunnels passing from under water to the large supply tank.

• The tunnel will lead you to the marine aquarium, a large aquarium that preserves marine animals in an isolated environment.

• Then you can visit the freshwater aquarium that hosts some species of animals and aquatic organisms that are kept for research.

• Take a rest in the Bedouin tent, which will give you a sense of the people of the desert, where you can eat some refreshments and drinks.

• You can also visit the tropical forest at the Aquarium of Hurghada, which can be described as a rich forest rich in biodiversity.

• Do not forget to visit the small zoo, an amazingly designed facility in the Hurghada Aquarium that sponsors a group of wild animals.

• Your kids will spend some fun time in the children's playgrounds in the Hurghada Aquarium, which includes hammocks, skis and more.
